The Jewish East End

The East End of London has always fascinated me. I consider myself a third-generation Jewish immigrant and, together with the French Huguenots, Irish and Asian communities, we have all started our journey into British society in the area known as Spitalfields.

As each wave of immigrant arrived, they brought new skills, trades and cultures that benefited society as a whole and helped to establish assimilation, understanding and tolerance.
