Join us for a very British Christmas walk. Our guide, Emma Parker, founder of Coutours.co.uk, who successfully led us on other walks in the past, will talk about some of the fun, fascinating and sometimes weird traditions of a British Christmas. The tour will start from Covent Garden Piazza. The Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square is a must, and we will learn the story behind this beautiful pine before Emma uncovers the unique foods, drinks and inventions that make a British Christmas different from the rest of the world. There are many amazing traditions that Emma will talk about, many of which might have been lost if it wasn’t for Charles Dickens and Prince Albert. This is a tour of nostalgia and tales of Christmases past, a good way to get into the festive mood! At the end of the tour, stay awhile at the pub for a chat and a glass of lovely mulled wine, as your fingers thaw and your flush cools.
